Overview & the challenge
For the launch of the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, the first product in Dyson’s Personal Care lineup, Dyson aimed to establish themselves as a leader in hair care science. While Dyson was already renowned for its expertise in Floor Care, known for innovations in suction technology, dirt capture, and air filtration, this new direction required demonstrating a deep understanding of hair and its interaction with heat.
We needed to create an immersive press event for French journalists that would:
- Position Dyson as credible experts in hair science.
- Visually communicate the extensive research behind the Dyson Supersonic.
- Translate complex lab-based research into engaging, memorable visuals and experiences.
As the in-country artworker, I made sure all event graphics were production-ready and stayed true to the creative intent.
⸺ Printed Graphics & Lightbox Visuals
I prepared final artwork for large-scale printed graphics and lightboxes, ensuring everything was set up correctly for print. This meant checking that designs would scale properly without losing quality, aligning graphics perfectly across multiple panels, and making sure colors matched Dyson’s brand guidelines (Pantone/CMYK). I also ensured type was set correctly, lightboxes would produce as intended, and vinyl graphics inside Perspex would print and apply correctly.

I formatted and refined the event flyer to Dyson’s brand standards, making sure the typography, colors, and layout were spot-on for print.
It was all about getting the details right so everything looked seamless on-site.
